china Platanus acerifolia
1. After the cuttings are raised and the seedlings fall off, pick the cuttings as soon as possible, and select the 10-year-old budding branches that develop in the 10-year-old mother forest. After picking, cut into cuttings in a shaded and windless place, 15-20cm long, 1-2.5cm in diameter at the upper end, with 3 buds, the upper end is cut about 0.5cm above the bud, and the cut is slightly oblique or flat; The cut is about 1cm below the bud, and it is cut into a flat or oblique mouth. Platanus acerifolia nursery ground requires good drainage, loose soil, deep mellow soil layer, fertile and moist; avoid water accumulation, otherwise rooting will be poor. Deep plowing 30 ~ 45cm, apply enough basal fertilizer. The row spacing of cuttings is 30-40cm, and the plant spacing is 20-30cm. Generally, there are straight cuttings, but also oblique cuttings. The buds at the upper end should face south, which is favorable for growth and easy to manage.
2. Platanus acerifolia seedlings have about 120 fruit heads per kg (commonly known as fruit balls), each fruit ball has about 800 to 1000 small nuts, 1,000-grain weight is 4.9g, and each kg of small nuts is about 200,000. The germination rate 10% to 20%.
①Treatment of seeds and seeds: The fruit balls are stored in the sun in December, and then crushed when sowing. Before sowing, the small nuts are stored in low temperature sand for 20-30 days, which can promote rapid and neat germination. About sowing 15kg/667m².
②Soil preparation and fertilization: the width of the seedbed is about 1.3m, and the fertilization on the bed surface is 2.5~5kg/m².
③Platanus acerifolia is best sown in shady and rainy days from late March to early May, and can germinate in 3 to 5 days.
④Put up a shed for shade in time, and remove the shade when Platanus acerifolia seedlings have 4 leaves. Topdressing can be started when the seedling height is 10cm and applied once every 10-15d.
