How Bauhinia Blakeana is cultivated
Nov 10,2022
Bauhinia Blakeana is native to subtropical regions. It prefers a warm, humid, rainy climate and a sunny environment. It prefers a deep, fertile, well-drained acidic sandy loam. Here's how to grow it.

Bauhinia Blakeana greenhouse potted plants should have sufficient water in spring and summer to maintain humidity. Avoid direct sunlight in summer. Autumn and winter should be slightly dry. Apply liquid fertilizer 1-2 times during the growing season. This flower is potted in the subtropics and the Yangtze River basin. It should be overwintered in a greenhouse in winter, and the minimum temperature should be kept above 5°.
When Bauhinia Blakeana is used in landscaping, in order to obtain a good shading effect, large seedlings (more than 10 cm in diameter) are generally transplanted. Transplantation should be carried out in early spring from February to March. Small seedlings need to bring more soil, and large seedlings need to bring soil balls. Due to its strong adaptability, the survival rate of large seedlings is extremely high. The large seedlings must be cut off before transplanting. Generally, the trunk is 3 meters to 5 meters after cutting, and a certain tree shape is maintained. Appropriately thinning and truncating branches, leaving the branches at 0.2 m to 1.0 m. Transplanting large seedlings needs to bring "mud balls", and the planting should not be too deep, otherwise it will cause rotten roots and affect survival.
Bauhinia Blakeana is very wind-resistant, and its branches are easily broken, so precautions should be taken before a typhoon comes.
